Originally published in 1766, "The Gentleman's Guide in His Tour Through France" is a comprehensive 18th-century travelogue which discusses the author's travels on his tour through France.

This 10th edition includes a large folded map of all the routes of the public carriages; the expense of travelling in a post chaise, stage coach, or inland water carriage; the distances of the towns, and the best houses of accomodation. Also includes an account of the products, manufactories, finances, etc.. from Mr. Necker.

Closed tear to large folded map expertly repaired. Clear water-staining to lower margin of very few pages (not affecting lettering). Binding in overall very good, interior in good to very good condition. g to vg. Item #46228
