The views contained in this portfolio were reproduce from actual photographs of typical marble installations located in many parts of the country. Forty offset reproductions, some full page, show interiors of banks, hallways in office buildings, lavatories, a church altar, hospital and school interiors, apartment house and hotel lobbies, civic building interiors, store front and interior designs as well as a cafeteria, interior home designs, the usage in garden settings and a theater lobby. The designs emphasize the diversity of the usage of marble in a variety of buildings while trying to appeal to the cultural instinct of its potential clients. The National Association of Marble Dealers was established in 1903. When it merged with Marble Producers in 1944 the Marble Institute of America was officially formed. We have not found a record of this portfolio in OCLC. Portfolio with significant wear, cover detached but present, chips along edges of portfolio, and five inch closed tear at bottom of inside flap at foredge.
