"Contains a series of eighteen Coptic and three Ethiopic texts, with translations, which include Encomia on the Blessed Virgin Mary, Histories of the three great archangels, Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael, Martyrdoms of Psote, Bishop of Psoï, Mercurius, and Theodore the Anatolian, the History of Monks by Paphnutius, the Apocalypse of Paul, etc. All these texts are written in the dialect of Upper Egypt." (Preface). Text in English and Coptic. Binding with wear along edges, corners chipped, front joint split and back joint reinforced with brown library tape. Ex-library copy with usual library markings, sticker on spine, stamps at top and lower edge and in block, library book plate on inside front cover, and library index card on inside back cover.
