One of 50 limited copies with the artist's signature on the first image plate. This is loose leaf portfolio containing 16 plates of sepia-toned heliogravure reproductions after paintings by Lithuanian- Austrian Jewish genre painter Lazar Krestin (1868-1938). He work focuses on depictions of aspects of everyday Jewish life, with these plates including images of Rabbis, Prayers, Yemeni Jews and a self portrait, among others. Each image is numbered and is protected by a tissue guard. The initial 2 leaves are comprised of a title page, a short biography of the artist and a table of contents.

Wrappers disbound and torn at the spine, but present. Some chipping to corners. Title plate with light creasing at the top right corner. Wrappers in poor, plates in very good+ condition overall. Wrappers protected by modern mylar. poor to vg+. Item #45663
