An interesting design invoking strands of Neue Sachlichkeit with references to the mysterious fields of Maskenspiel. The pamphlet contains a contribution by Hugo von Hofmannsthal on the program of the 1928 Salzburger Festspiele, and Erich Schenk contemplating the development of the Salzburger Festspiele idea. Most of the pamphlet is reserved for advertisements, and the back cover for Steyr, the Austrian quality car with international reputation, and a Shell Oil Company add on inside back cover in color. Laid in an illustrated program of Hofmannsthal's play "Jedermann," 1928, and a leaflet with the program and ticket information for the 1930 Salzburg Festivals, printed in two colors.
