Cover photo is a city scape of Chicago at night. Design Karl-Heinz Drescher. Pamphlet produced by the Berliner Ensemble on the occasion of the production of Brecht's play "Im Dickicht der Städte" with texts by Bertolt Brecht, Herbert Jhering, Alfred Kurella, and Margrit Pittmann. Brecht's play shows the degradation of human beings in the late capitalist society. Pamphlet includes notes on the play by the Berlin ensemble. Illustrated with stage sketches by Caspar Nehers and Andreas Reinhardt, and three stage photographs of the performances at Munich and Berlin theaters, one by the Berlin Ensemble. Laid in a three fold octavo flyer with color photo of New York City and caption "Shlink: Die Menschenhaut in natürlichem Zustande ist zu dünn für diese Welt, deshalb sorgt der Mensch dafür, daß sie dicker wird (The human skin in its natural state is too thin for this world, therefore humans take care so it becomes thicker).
