This is an early English translation of the educational theories of Émile Jaques-Dalcroze and his pioneering music and movement educational philosophy of most commonly known as "Eurhythmics". The groundbreaking and influential method sought teach students music through kinetic movement, helping them gain physical awareness and muti-sensory experiences of the music. The famed 1980s pop group took their name from this method. The book is illustrated throughout with a number of b/w photographic reproductions. The section of 16 pages at the back of the book contains a "musical supplement", including musical notation throughout, which visually demonstrates various musical concepts and terms. The final page contains publisher's advertisements for other works by Dalcroze.

Binding with light smudging to the covers. Light bumping and/or rubbing to extremities including the head & tail of the spine. Interior with some light creasing along the side edge of some pages. Interior front cover with original bookseller's sticker and the name of a previous owner in ink. Offsetting, age toning and light foxing to the half-title and title page.
