The front cover has a printed quote and facsimile signature, dated 1886, from Sarah Bernhardt stating "This is the only correct version of my plays, translated and printed from my prompt-books." This edition of the famed stage adaptation of "La Dame Aux Camelias" (1848, known in English as "Camille") by Alexandre Dumas fils reproduces the version of the work performed by world-famous French actress Sarah Bernhardt, starting in 1880. Each page is printed in a two column format, containing the original French text, and its English translation on the opposite page. The final three pages and interior covers contain publisher's advertisements.
