The issue features a photograph Kim Il Sung with two children on a podium greeting a cheering crowd. Propaganda on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The headline reads "Long live the Democratic People's Republic of Korea founded and led by Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung!" The editorial features and article entitle "Genuine State of Workers and Peasants." Other articles are headlined "Deep Faith in the People, Intense Loyalty to the Leader," "National Reunification – Greatest National Task of the Korean People," "Socialist Land Good to Live and Work," and "Chollima Korea, an Independent Country." This article with reference to Chollima, a mythical winged horse originating in Chinese classics, is a short propaganda piece with four page-covering photographs depicting the industrialized, the farming, and the cultural Korea. It celebrated independence and the progress made at the 25th Anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. It contains various additional articles in typical propaganda fashion praising the leader as the "eternal Sun," equality between peasants and urban dwellers, free education and medical treatment, and the overall 'Happy Life" of the people in the republic. Adequately page three features a large picture of well dressed, happy Korean middle class families strolling about in the countryside.
