Publisher's device on title page. On the occasion of the third anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi prisons and concentration camps 3,000 delegates met under the motto "Fighters against Fascism - Fighters for Peace" for the International Liberation Day. The event took place in the Weimarhalle and was opened with a welcoming speech by Stefan Heymann, a German-Jewish Communist, who went on to be the director of Culture and Education in the Central Committee of the SED. Altogether thirty-one addresses are published in this pamphlet with participants from East and West Germany, Czechoslovakia, the Netherlands, Spain, and Poland, including the speech of Walter Bartel, the president of the International Buchenwald Committee. The pamphlet is illustrated with twelve b/w in-text photographs of the board and the meeting hall, various demonstrations and marches as well as participants of the congress. Text in German.
