There are no bibliographical indicators in this volume but it may be assumed that our publication relates to similar editions as described by the British Museum and other institutions. Considering the larger format and the quality of the original etchings, this should be an edition of the Deluxe Edition. It is not following the order of the printed edition, contains six plates not present in the general edition and lacking 5 images present there.
Illustrated with 101 extraordinary etchings depicting Jewels at the treasury of the Imperial Family, incl. jewels and vases of gold, silver, rock-crystal and different sorts of precious stones, clocks and watches, swords and clothing, and sacred relics of the holy Roman Empire, with captions in German. The etchings are by W. Unger, J. G. Fahrnbauer, E. Kozeluch, A. Lang, C. Poschinger, E. Schuhmann, and J. Wopalensky.
Binding with wear along edges, bumped corners, small chips on covers and fraying along bottom edge of back cover, light at front. Spine with four inch closed tear at bottom of front joint, some fraying here, and light scuffing along joints. Some light sporadic foxing in margins, not affecting images with the exception of the plate for the Turkish Crown, here with heavy foxing in margins and framing but only slightly affecting image. Offsetting of imagery to facing pages. Binding in overall good minus, interior in very good to near fine condition. g- to near fine. Item #44508
