Dark blue endpapers. The collection was formed during the last half 18th century by the well-known amateur Robert Napier. It contains Chinese and Japanese porcelain, Chelsea, Derby, Worcester, Berlin, Dresden, Vienna, Sèvres, Capo di Monte, and other European porcelain; ancient and modern pictures, drawings in watercolor; silver, bronzes, decorative furniture, sculpture, Chinese enamels, pottery and stone ware, and Wedgwood ware, and is to be sold by auction by Christie, Manson & Woods on April 11, 1877, and the following eight days. Binding with light wear along edges, small chips on covers and lightly rubbed. Title page with previous owner's name inked to top and foxed, as are endpapers.
