(Author). Contains chapters on the history of Lower Nubia, the "Pan-Graves" and a catalog of some 100 pages describing the antiquities of Lower Nubia. Illustrated with two color lithographs, ninety-four plates with b/w offset reproductions of photographs depicting Nubian sites, drawings and inscription and one two color folding map of the Nile Valley from Aswan to Sudan Boundary. Binding with library barcode and sticker, slight wear along edges. Library bookplate on inside front cover, pocket and numeric stamp on inside back cover. Library stamps on verso of title page and top and bottom edges. Plates VII to XIV misbound, XIII and XIV upside down, however, all plates present.
