NP: Privately Printed, 1913. First edition. Hardcover. Quarto. 18 (1)pp., 2 plates. Original half leather with gilt ruling on cover, gilt lettering on spine, over green cloth. Decorative initials. "The Menzies Cabinet is one of the more important relics of Mary Queen of Scots which has been handed down through generations of the family of the original owner right up to the present day... the present Cabinet , a gift from the Queen to one of the family of Menzies, is of great interest to trace not only the provenance of the relic, but also the vicissitudes of the family by whom it has been preserved and of the Castle where they lived." (Author). Includes the Stuart–Darnley–Menzies Pedigree and two b/w reproductions of photographs of the cabinet. Front cover loose but present. Some light foxing of first few pages and back endpaper.
