"Der Sturm" is considered to be one of the great avant guard publications. Published from 1910–1932, this serial was first issued on a weekly basis, then bi-weekly, and monthly starting in 1915.
Published in April 1914, this first April issue features a lithographically reproduced drawing by Franz Marc, "Katzen", on cover, and an original full page woodcut by Friedrich Rosenkranz in block. With contributions by H. W., Adolf Behne, Albert Ehrenstein, Aage von Kobi, Alfred Richard Meyer, Hermann Essig. Publisher's and small column of outside advertisements on back cover.
Text in German. Minor wear along edges, small chips and closed tears. Horizontal fold in middle, reinforced with transparent tape. Light age toning. Overall in very good condition. vg. Item #44139
