Splendid collection of 7 original silver gelatin prints on Agfa-Brovira paper by German photographer Arthur Collatz (1903-1993).
The photographs measure appr. 9 1/2 x 7" (mat: 12 x 9 1/2") and depict views of the old workers' quarter of Gängeviertel in Hamburg, known for its timber houses in the myriad of alleys and narrow and winding streets.
Each silver gelatin print is mounted on cardboard bearing the photographer's copyright stamp, and signed and titled in pencil on the mat below the image.
This portfolio is complete with its heavy cardstock leaf featuring two tipped in illustrations reproducing a 1590 and a 1700 map of Hamburg.
