The unique albums contain a beautiful collection of more than 150 highly detailed and ornate designs for various types custom made jewelry. Each is hand-painted on small cutout pieces of either heavy mylar, plastic, cardstock, or vellum, mostly transparent, with each resting in a clear plastic sleeve. Each type of jewelry is a separate section, each with a paper label along the side of the album. The jeweler is unknown but the jewelry seems to have been made for wealthy members of the Kaiser Wilhelm-era German society. Also includes one original photograph (of a Cartier tiara) and a chromolithograph, laid in at the back of one of the albums. Many of designs are protected by tissue guards.
