Original blue leather-covered box with gilt lettering on cover, housing 133 miniature gelatin silver print photographs (3 1/4 x 2 3/8") in three compartments with ribbon levers. Three color world map with Gustav Boehm's travel route pasted to inside of box cover. The 133 photo cards include two cards showing the heads of the firm Gustav Boehm, Gust Boehm, Gustav Boehm Jr., Theodor Boehm, and George Beck on one, a full view of the Toilet Soap and Perfumery Factory Gustav Boehm, Offenbach, on the other.
The 2nd series contains cards No. 118–235 with three gilt-stamped cover cards designating the three legs of the journey of Gustav Boehm with 118 photographs: 1. Hongkong, Manila, Australia, New Zealand; 2. China, Japan; 3. Japan, USA, Canada, London, Offenbach. The photographs are depicting landscapes and cityscapes, architecture, harbors, and social settings customary in the respective locations. Two additional cards showing the heads of the company and the factory in Offenbach. Laid in thirteen additional photographic cards from the 1st series (1–5 Constantinople, 45-52 India). Each card with printed company name, title 'Voyage Around The World' and description of motif with location of the respective photograph. Text in German and English. Box with minor wear at corners. Cover card one with horizontal fold, two with minor chips along edges, and three with small stain at bottom. One of the photographs with minor tear and chip.
