Guidebook for the assessment of building lots in Berlin in 1928 for the computation of property taxes based on the new ordinance and regulations of November 1925. The guidebook was compiled at a time when the drastic fluctuation in evaluating buildings and building lots due to the rapid changes during the inflation had subsided and made way to a period of objective considerations.

Part one of this set mostly deals with the potential for the utilization of construction sites in 20 Berlin districts based on the new ordinance. Part two comprises a complete register of Berlin streets indicating the local government office responsible, the relevant construction classification and the value code applicable for each street.

In the introduction the author elaborates on the general changes of the conditions in construction and real estate after the war, the changes prompted by various government ordinances, the definition of building lot, comparative data relating to the ordinances from 1897 and 1925 and details relevant for the assessment of building lots. The latter part is illustrated with tables and architectural plans.

Each of the chapters for the 20 districts in part one includes addresses for the office for title changes, land registry office, the building inspection department, and the land survey office. In addition references to the relevant ordinances for the utilization potential, the current utilization and restrictions, the evaluation code for 1928 and specific notes applicable for the respective district are provided. Contains eight pages of advertisements for construction companies and an index with tables indicating specifics for all streets in the districts., e.g. relevant government offices, utilization potential, classification into business and residential streets, preferred residential streets, construction classification and prices per square meter.
