The photogravures in this collection are mostly unknown and assembled by the photographer Heinrich Hoffmann. They were intended as an illustrated supplement to Hitler's "Mein Kampf." The full-page photogravures include a portrait of Hitler holding his dog whip, Hitler's birthplace, Hitler's first photo as a baby, Hitler's parents, Hitler in school and with his comrades at the front line during the war, Hitler drawings, Hitler portraits from 1921, various photos of Hitler during speeches and on vacation in the Alps, one photograph of Hitler's hands, Hitler during hospital visits to meet with wounded soldiers, Hitler and his sister, and numerous other photographs showing Hitler in mostly unofficial situations.
