Richard Kanton stresses that the surge and necessity in construction of models by architects is due to the recovery of the industry and lays out the variety of requirements for the successful production of models in his introduction. He goes on to explain in detail the purpose of the construction of models in relation to the drafting of models, advertising with models, models as an educational tool and even in regards to disputes negotiated in court. Other chapters deal with the various types of models, equipment and design of the model department, the production of models with laminated paper, special tasks and models as well as the photographic documentation and shipment of models. The book is profusely illustrated with b/w offset reproductions of photographs, most of them full page, and numerous in-text drawings. Text in German.
