Minor and sporadic foxing to very first and very last leaves. "Curae in versionem Syriacam Actuum Apostolicorum" is in Latin with some Syriac and old Greek. "Von der Verpflichtung der Menschen die Wahrheit zu reden" is in German, Gothic script. Binding and interior in overall very good condition. vg. Item #43178

About the author: Johann David Michaelis (1717-1791), a famous and eloquent Prussian biblical scholar and teacher, was a member of a family which had the chief part in maintaining that solid discipline in Hebrew and the cognate languages which distinguished the University of Halle in the period of Pietism.
