[6 initial pages of publisher's ads at the front] 136pp., 20 pgs of blank lined note paper [+ 21 pages of illustrated publisher's ads at the back]. Salmon-colored pebbled buckram boards, with blind-stamped ruling, and debossed gilt-stamped lettering on the front covers and spine. The publication is a detailed examination and guide to industrial weaving, with detailed chapters on every part of the process. Includes many detailed tables, charts and mathematical calculations. Interleaved with sample orders. Binding with light rubbing to corners, and light smudges to covers. Light chipping to the head and tail of the spine, as well as cracking and loosening at the hinges. Starting at gutters of interior covers, as well as pages 50 124, and 130. Title page with library ink stamp.

Vol.2: "Diagrams, Illustrating Machinery for Preparation and Weaving of same". Oblong 12mo. Salmon-colored pebbled buckram boards, re-backed with red cloth. Debossed gilt-stamped lettering on the front cover. Spine with gilt lettering on pink cloth label. (iv) + 20 fold-out lithographically printed diagrams, each measuring approximately 18x20" in total. The diagrams feature detailed schematics of the machines discussed in the first volume. Binding with light rubbing, bumping and chipping to corners and along the edges of the boards. Some light smudges and scratching to the covers. Adhesive residue on the interior front cover. Light chipping and a few closed tears to the first pages and first two fold-outs, including the title page. Title page with library ink stamp. The front index as well as the first two fold-outs are detached but present. Age toning to some fold-outs, making them brittle and delicate.

The title is scarce in a complete two-volume state. Bindings in good-, interiors in very good- to good. g- to vg. Item #42890
