The first part of this work was originally published in 1917, and, together with its second part published 38 years later, this two-volume set is the complete Corpus of Egyptian records from Sinai, copied during the 1904-05 archaeological expedition.

It contains the introduction to the work, as well as a series of tables which make it possible to see at a glance whict texts are new, and in what books the remainder have been published. They also indicate the exact provenance; the nature of the monuments in question; and, finally, their chronological order and distribution. Last but not least, this volume contains the entire set of 96 numbered plates (i.e 104, as there is a plate XXIa, XXVa, XXXIIIa, XXXVa, XLIIa, XLIVa, LIIIa, LXVa). Lower front corner slightly bumped (not affecting pages).

Minor shelf wear. Ex-library copies with sticker at tails of spine, bookplate on inside of each front cover and pocket on inside of each back cover. Bindings in overall good+ to very good, interior in very good condition. vg. Item #42688
