Spendidly illustrated throughout with numerous floor plans and architectural drawings (including one double-page at rear), as well as 28 in-text, and 16 full-page photogravures, this scarce monograph documents the construction of "Les Portiques," a luxurious shopping mall located on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, in Paris.

Built between 1925 and 1928 by French architect Louis Grossard, the shopping mall housed a number of luxury brands and shops, such as: Établissements Georges Loiseau (Buick, Cadillac, Lasalle); Automobiles La Lorraine; a pastry shop (Relais Galant); a bar; and a hair salon (Antony). Interior views of these shops are featured in the portfolio.
