Splendidly illustrated with reproductions of 25 homes in photogravure, photochrome and chromolithography, this first volume of a pictorial survey of German architecture is entirely devoted to villas and country houses for one and two families.

For each of the 25 homes, there are two plates. One reproducing the house in photogravure (15), photochrome (8), or chromolithography (2); the second one contains the architectural drawing as well as the floor plan of the structure.

Each plate measures 16 x 11 1/2".

Most of the homes depicted in this work were built by architects Paul Schmohl and G. Staehelin (Stuttgart). The other architects mentioned are: Albert Eitel (Stuttgart); Widmer & Erlacher (Basel); Rudolf Schmid (Freiburg i. B.); Geis & Bauer (Freiburg i. B.); Paul Keller (Dresden); Rudolf Linder (Basel); and E. F. Scholer (Stuttgart).

Minor shelf wear and slight age-toning along edges of portfolio. One string tie missing. Title leaf partly and slightly creased along edges. Minor age-toning along margin of leaves. Captions in German. Portfolio in overall good, interior in very good condition.

Lavishly illustrated with reproductions of 25 architectural structures in photogravure, and photochrome, this second volume of Schmohl and Staehelin's architectural series is entirely devoted to residential and commercial buildings.

As in the first volume, for each of the 25 buildings, there are two plates. One reproducing the structure in photogravure (15), or photochrome (10); the second one contains the architectural drawing as well as the floor plan of the actual building.

Each plate measures 16 x 11 1/2".
