Light tan paper dust jacket, with black lettering on the spine. Light blue paper boards, with red and dark blue lettering on the front cover and spine. Pages uncut and unopened. The publication is one of a limited edition of 500 copies of the acclaimed work, printed on handmade paper. The poem served as a tribute to the deceased poet Arthur Henry Hallam, a close friend of Tennyson, at the time of its original publication in 1849. Some chipping and splitting to the corners and edges of the slipcase, with half the bottom missing. Dust wrapper with age toning and minor rubbing to top and bottom of spine. Light offsetting from dust wrapper to interior covers. Slipcase in fair, dj in very good, binding and interior in near fine condition overall. f to near fine. Item #42077
