Illustrated with twelve striking tissue-guarded mounted plates in full color, "Fleur-de-Neige et d'Autres Contes de Grimm" is a celebrated collection of twelve folktales by the brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, who spent their lives collecting and publishing folklore during the 19th century.

Kay Nielsen's fantasy illustrations are bold, and vibrant - often reproduced by a 4-color process which set him apart from his contemporaries who typically used a 3-color process. His art is characterized by long, swooping lines, open spaces and a certain macabre quality and his ephemeral illustrations are intricately inventive, flirting with implausibility.

One of 2,000 numbered copies, of which this is No. 794.
