One broadside and two folded programs with decorative ruling and black lettering on covers. Announcements of three theater productions staged in Kowel, northwestern Ukraine, under the auspices of the 4th Army of the K.u.K Austrian-Hungarian Army. Bilingual in German and Yiddish.
2. Der "Passagier" (The Passenger), drama in one act by R. Adelheim; "Masel-Tow" (Die Verlobungen/The Engagements), comedy in one act by Scholem-Aleichem; Die Agenten (The Agents), farce in one act by Scholem-Aleichem, the leading Yiddish author and playwright of the time. All plays directed by M. Pugacz. Folded broadside (13 x 7") with decorative ruling on cover. The Program contains the full for all three plays. The performance is arrange by the Society of Jewish Friends of the Arts of the City of Kowel. Synopsis of all three plays on verso of front cover. Text in German with full text of program and synopsis in Yiddish on pages three and four.
3. "Das jüdische Herz" (The Jewish Heart), a play in 4 acts (8 scenes) by J. Lateiner, directed by M. Pugacz. Contains full cast. Folded Broadside (15 3/4 x 7 1/4") with decorative ruling. The story is set in Rumania. The actors are members of the dramatic section of the Volksküche (People's Kitchen) in Kowel. Synopsis on verso. Text in German with full text of program and synopsis in Hebrew on pages three and four. Folded three times horizontally with light discoloration on front and top of pages two and three.
