Rechtsradikale Bestrebungen im Jahre 1965 (Right-Wing Extremist Efforts in the Year 1965)

Bonn: Bundesinnenministerium, 1966. First edition. Softcover. Quarto. 55pp. Tan wraps in black binder's tape with black lettering on cover. Unpublished report on observations of and the fight against right-wing extremist and anti-Semitic activities in the year 1965 in Germany by the Secretary of the Interior. The report recaps experiences gathered by national security institutions on such nationalistic groups without credible commitment to a free, democratic basic order who's aim or activities are directed against the constitutional order or support such activities.

The political situation influencing the surge in right-wing extremist activities is deemed to be the lingering partition of Germany without a fair peace treaty as well as other political alliances such as the crisis of the European Union, the discussion around Nato, the German relation to Israel, the German emergency act, the debates over the extension of the statue of limitations for Nazi crimes, the verdicts in concentration camp trials, particularly of the Auschwitz trial, and the intensification of the debates due to the national election campaign.

The report covers various German parties, e.g. the NPD and DRP, their propaganda and arguments, international fascists active in Germany, illegal activities of German perpetrators, their motives and mentality and the measures taken by national security, including political education. Illustrated with various diagrams and reprductions of newspaper articles. Text in German. Some sunning of wraps and interior. Title page with some foxing. Wraps and interior in overall good condition. g. Item #41756
