In this work, Swiss archaeologist and field director of the Abydos excavations Edouard Naville (1844-1926) reproduces some spectacular bas-relief details found in the Egyptian Temples located at Abydos and Behbeit-El-Hagher.
Abydos: The fragments of bas-reliefs found in the Temples of Seti I, and Ramses II are reproduced in 5 in-text vignettes, one color plate, and 36 photolithographic plates.
Behbeit-El-Hagher: Details of bas-reliefs found in the Temple of Isis are reproduced in 6 in-text vignettes, 11 photolithographic plates and 6 phototype plates (including Samanood)
Samanood (Appendix): The last two plates (16 and 17) depict fragments of two corner stones (16), and fragments of a naos in dark green diorite (17) found in Samanood.
