Illustrated with no less than 1550 woodcuts and 49 X-Ray photographic reproductions, Carl Todt's Anatomical Atlas for Students and Physicians is a 3-volume masterpiece of detailed preparation presented in the form of sober, yet highly precise wood engravings. The foreword to the first edition stated that its goal was to disseminate the new nomenclature and in this it succeeded as in the forthcoming decades it would become one of the most popular anatomical atlases.
