Austrian artist Helmut Kand's "Vienna Daydreams" is a collection of five striking color screenprints on silver foil stock paper, each signed and numbered in pen by the artist.
Kand's work, filled with poetical surrealism, triggers a variety of emotions during this corlorful and magical journey.
The five serigraphs (each measuring 25 x 19 1/2") are the following:
1) Sun and Moon Beauty Contest
2) One Morning the Masks Got Stuck
3) The Windcolor Machine
4) Scene on a Sunset Beach
5) Glasshouse Trees - Harvest
Each of the four tissue-guards is illustrated in white on dark blue paper.
One of 150 signed and numbered sets, of which this is No. 141.
Minor and sporadic rubbing and creasing along edges of wrappers. The fifth tissue-guard (for the Glasshouse Trees - Harvest serigraph) is missing.

About the artist: Helmut Kand (born in 1946) has won numerous awards including the City of Salzburg Art Prize; the title of "Honorary Professor" bestowed by Austrian President Heinz Fischer; and has even designed stamps for the Austrian postal system. He has exhibited his work throughout Europe. the U.S.A., Canada, South America and Asia. His work is also held by important private collectors and included in the museum collections in Paris, Vienna, Graz, Athens, Basel, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Buenos Aires and Lisbon.
