"To my friend Charles Muses at Expo 67 Buckminster Fuller April 29. 1967" on page 12 displaying a full page color model of the geodesic dome built as the United States pavilion. Quarto. Unpaginated, 32pp. Original pictorial wraps with white lettering on cover. Map on inside cover. Illustrated title page. Expo 67, the Universal and International Exhibition of 1967, portrays "Man and His World" - his endeavors in science, fine arts, exploration, agriculture and industry. The United States Pavilion, located on the Ile Sainte-Hélène, is a huge transparent geodesic "skybreak bubble" of 250 feet in spherical diameter and 200 feet high. Fuller reinvented the geodesic dome during his tenure at Black Mountain College in 1949. It been created by Dr. Walther Bauersfeld some thirty years earlier though Fuller was awarded United States patents. Illustrated throughout with color reproductions taken from models or drawings of the pavilions of participating nations. Laid in an unused "Plastichrome of Canada" color postcard commemorating the centennial 1867/1967. Text in French and English. Wraps with light wear along edges, minor creasing and light scuffing along foredge of front cover. Wraps in overall good+, interior in very good condition. g+ to vg. Item #40112
