This limited deluxe edition contains the text of one of Werner Egk's most celebrated operas: Irische Legende. The opera is based upon William Butler Yeats' "Irish Fairy and Folk tales." The text is accompanied with 5 original lithographs by Oskar Kokoschka, a seminal pioneer of Expressionism. One of 250 copies signed by Egk and Kokoschka, of which this is No. 139 (of a total edition of 500). Closed tear and minor and sporadic chipping on glassine. Text in German.
