A study of the Kampfbünde (Battle-League), the patriotic fighting societies associated with Hitler's National Socialist party in Bavaria. The league was created on September 30, 1923, in Nuremberg, marking the anniversary of the Prussian victory over France in 1870. The publication is at the same time an appeal to individuals in theses various societies to contribute material in oder to complete the published material and publish a comprehensive study in the future. The current presentation covers the emergence and significance of fighting societies, the history and idea of various fighting societies, e.g. Der Stahlhelm, die SA of the National Socialists, Oberland and Wehrwolf, and others. A third chapter elaborates on the ideology of the new nationalism and a lengthy addendum covers the current phase in the development of the Battle-League. At rear two pages on strategy of publications on politics and civic education as well as an outlook on publications planned for the future. Laid in three newspaper clippings on the subject.
