[56]pp. Original printed dust-jacket over illustrated paper covered boards, with silver and white lettering on covers. Frontispiece. Short introduction in Hebrew, Yiddish and English at opposite ends of the volume. Belfer was brought up in the Janusz Korczak Home in Warsaw. He escaped to the forested ahead of the establishment of the Ghetto. After the war he was interned on Cyprus before he was able to reach Israel. His art training began in Cyprus and continued in Israel. Belfer has brought forth in his paintings the deepest expression of the torment in which the Jews of Europe found themselves on their last journey. The works featured in this volume are grim ink drawings with a rough texture. Dust-jacket partly discolored along edges, with sticker taped at tail of spine. Front cover slightly rippled. Text and captions in English, Hebrew and Yiddish. Dust-jacket in overall fair to good-, binding in good- to good, interior in very good condition. fair to vg. Item #38919
