This striking work containing 12 original etchings is Ira Moskowitz's interpretation of the legend of Pygmalion, a Cypriot sculptor who fell in love with his statue. Each lithograph is annotated 'artist copy' and hand-signed by Ira Moskowitz. Size of plates: 17 1/4 x 12 3/4". Artist's copy of a total edition of fifty numbered sets. The edition was originally to have consisted of one hundred sets, but the colophon is corrected and initialed in pencil by the artist. Sunning and minor scuffing on portfolio. Offsetting on title page. Minor age-toning along paper margin. Text in French. Binding in overall good, interior in good+, plates in very good condition. g to vg. Item #37898
