Profusely illustrated with a few b/w photographs and evocative and daring drawings of the Berlin milieu (Milljöh) by Heinrich Zille. Zille was considered the most popular artist since the German painter of light Adolf Menzel and his often funny drawings depicted the life of the Berlin "Common People." Though he did not consider himself an artist, Zille was paid great respect and the Academy of Arts honored him with a professorship in 1924. Text in German.
