The introduction by Joachim Schlandt covers various aspects of public housing of the time, e.g. government intervention into the private housing market, selection criteria for occupants, criteria for the location on public housing, maintenance and rent control, and public housing as "gathering points for antisocial elements." Illustrated with b/w photographs of housing complexes, architectural plans and one aerial map. Text in German. Wrappers with light foxing, rubbed and sunning at spine. Block lightly age-toned.
