Leather spine with raised bands. "Choshen Mishpat" is part of the larger compendium on Jewish law by R. Joseph Karo known as the "Shulhan Arukh." It covers matters related to business law. Karo's "Shulhan Arukh" was first published in Venice in 1565. The first Amsterdam edition was printed from 1661-66 by Joseph Atias. Emanuel Atias printed an edition from 1697-99. Johanan Levi Rofe's predecessor Hertz Levi Rofe printed an edition from 1752-1769. Our edition includes the addendums of R. Moses Isserles as well as the "Be'er Golah" commentary by R. Moses Rivkes and the "Be'er Heitev" commentary by R. Zechariah Mendel b. Aryeh Leib of Cracow. Extensive wear to covers. Some rippling to leaves. Overall in good condition. g. Item #35817
