English translation, alongside the original texts and photographic reproduction of the Cairo Genizah fragments held by the Freer Gallery of Art in Washington DC. The Cairo Genizah is a collection of documents discovered in the Ben Ezrah synagogue. A large section was taken to Cambridge by the renowned scholar Solomon Schechter. The documents in this book were purchased from the synagogue by Charles L. Freer in 1908. They include, letters and business contracts to charms. As such they help create a picture of Jewish life in the Mediterranean world during the Middle-Ages. Text in Judeo-Arabic, Hebrew and English. Dj chipped, sunned and stained.
