The Book of Jashar is an account of biblical history that claims to be the lost book mentioned in Joshua and 2 Samuel. According to legend, the book was found by a Roman officer after the Destruction of the Second Temple in 70 C.E. and brought to Spain. The book was first printed in Venice in 1625, but there is some evidence for a lost earlier 1552 edition printed in Naples. The Edward Browne translation stands as the second English translation of the work. The first translation was done by Mordacai Noah in 1840. Spine, edges and corners chipped and rubbed.
