Illustrated with numerous b/w reproductions of photographs documenting the collection of "Trophy Flags" captured in various conflicts the USA was involved. in 1912 Congress pass an act appropriating 30.000 Dollar for the preservation of these flags including an exhibition. "This volume is published for the convenience of those who desire to know the story of each flag in a brief form..." (Washburn preface). Binding rubbed with some white "sprinkles" mostly on back cover. Damp-stained at top and bottom margins throughout not affecting text or images.
