Johann Friederich Herbart (1776-1841) is considered the founder of pedagogy as an academic discipline. Ziegler, a German philosopher and educator. Text in German. Binding rubbed with light wear along edges, small tear at head of spine. Light foxing of endpapers and first few pages in front and rear.
