Compilation from the notes taken on the spots during the author's wanderings in the Old World. Entertaining caricature of David Bushnell, an American living in Alexandria. Criticized for lack of factual accuracy and lifting of illustrations but showing caricatures of Western travelers together with authentic representation oriental costumes and antiquities, in other words, the fanciful and the factual. Moderate rubbing of leather with some creasing of spine from reading, some shelf wear around edges. Offsetting on endpapers. Foxing throughout block, at times affecting images.
