Includes b/w photographs of happy Soviet agricultural workers using the most modern technology provided as the fruits of the Bolshevik revolution. This work provides an important if ironic perspective on the Soviet Union early in Stalin's reign. It was produced in middle of the first five-year plan to modernize Soviet agriculture and industry. This would lead to the forced starvation of millions of Ukrainian peasants over the following two years. Text in Yiddish. Leaf corners creased and cut. Age toning. Overall in good condition. g.
