Protective illustrated jacket that contained a special edition of the Illustrierter Beobachter titled “Frankreichs Schuld" (France’s Guilt) claiming that France was just as guilty as England for the war. It was published in 1940. The cover represents a grotesque caricature of the French army with a massive black soldier holding the French flag. Standing behing him, a French officer, a North African soldier, and a Jew carrying an Havas dispatch in his pocket. This protective jacket when unfolded displays a large map of France, the folded middle section represents the Mediterranean basin, and the back cover shows a map of the Middle-East. Central folding mark presenting a 1 1/2" closed tear along its outer edge. Captions in German. Jacket in overall fair to good- condition. fair. Item #34290
