The Song at the Sea (Exodus 15: 1-21) describes the miraculous deliverance of Moses and the children of Israel from the army of Pharaoh at the Red Sea. In this volume, the author presents an interpretation of the oldest complete and extant commentary on the Song, known as Shirta (Aramaic for "the song"). He then offers a new translation of the commentary, along with a detailed critical exegesis of it. Spine and edges of dust-jacket slightly sunned.
