The work consists of 32 chapters and was one of the most popular and widely read 18th century novels among 19th century Victorians. Delightfully illustrated with 12 full-page color reproductions of drawings (incl. frontispiece) on glossy paper, as well as b/w drawings by Arthur Rackham (1867-1939). Some sunning and scuffing on binding. Rubbing on head and tail of spine, corners, joints and parts of edges. Sunning on endpapers, foxing on first and last two leaves. Small brown stain on half-title page. Slight age yellowing to outer edges of margins of color plates. Tight copy in overall very good condition. vg. Item #27576
